Mission Statement: The mission of Noisebox Studios is to be Utah’s best recording and media music solution for uplifting entertainment. We value quality over quantity and are dedicated to surpassing expectations of our clients.
Because we are committed to uplifting music, we do not record music that’s profane, vulgar, violent, satanic, or sexual. If you are not sure if your music fits these categories, contact us and we can further clarify.
Our facility is not safe for children and most of the equipment can easily be damaged. It may be hard to believe, but children find recording studios to be very boring–especially when they realize they can not play with the equipment or instruments. Please do not bring them with you.
We do not allow alcohol, tobacco or drugs in the studio. Food in the studio is fine as long as drinks are in a resealable container.
A $75 deposit (which goes towards the amount of your recording) is required to schedule your first session. This money is nonrefundable. If you cancel with at least 24 hours notice, then we can reschedule and apply the deposit for another time.
Billing for the session starts from your reserved scheduled time, not from the time you show up.
You are welcome to come as early as 15 minutes before the session starts without being charged for the time. This time can be used for setting up your instrument, warming up your vocals and getting ready for the session. The session will start at your scheduled time which may include any kind of recording set-up. We charge for set-up time, but not for take down and clean up. Most instruments, including vocals, guitar, keyboard, bass and etc. take very minimal set-up time (about 5 minutes). Live drums are much more complex and generally take 45 minutes – 1 hour 15 minutes to set-up, tune, get levels, set-up the session and etc. Therefore, drum sessions should be scheduled to be a minimum of 2 hours. If we finish much earlier for a drum session, you will not be billed for the time not used.
Changes and cancellations require at least a 24 hours notice. The online scheduler will not allow you to cancel or change your session after that point. You can still change or cancel the session via phone, email or text, but you will be charged $75 for the change. If you miss the session without any notification, you will be billed for the complete session. You will be required to pay the balance before you can schedule your next session or receive any files.
Payments must be caught up at the end of each visit. Quick mixes or other audio files will not be taken from the studio unless payments are all caught up. A 10% late fee will be applied on the remaining balance for every month that passes past the due date.
We accept Visa, Discover, Mastercard and American Express. We also accept Pay Pal and Cash. We do not accept Personal Checks.
We proudly stand behind our services. If you are unsatisfied with any of our services, contact us with your concern and we will do everything possible to make things right.
We hold your project for 30 days after the last time the project was worked on. If you think you might want to return to the project later, it is the responsibility of the client to get a copy of the project within this time period. Although we do not intentionally erase any old projects, we do not hold responsibility for storing your project beyond 30 days. It is a great idea for the client to ask for us to send you a link to download your project to your personal computer or hard drive. This is especially the case when a project is going to extend multiple months.
We do everything possible to keep your projects safe while you are in the process of recording. We use uninterrupted power supplies to avoid losing your progress due to a power outage or a power surge. We run auto save on all of our applications. We backup the days projects on cloud storage and a separate hard drive at the end of the day. If for some rare reason your work is lost (within 30 days of your last visit on that specific project), we will replace the work lost by matching your recording time that has been lost. We do not refund the projects money.
It is your responsibility as the client to get permission to use copyrighted material. We do not take any responsibility if you are in violation of copyright laws.
We keep your projects private. We will not post your songs or give them away without your permission. We are very careful to preserve the excitement of your future release.
If a third party is paying for your session, it is highly encouraged that you sign contracts with the third party in advance regarding who has access to your project. If this is not done, then it is assumed that the 3rd party person paying for the session has all rights to the mixes and session of any material that you worked on during the session they paid for. No contracts in these situations can become very nasty if there are disagreements between you and the third party, so please consider a contract.
